Persian Carpets
All the carpets in our collection are hand-woven
or hand-knotted on weaving looms, and made of either lambs wool (kork wool), pure
silk or a combination of silk and kork wool. Only certain types of wool possess
the qualities required to combine softness with strength and springiness. Our carpets
are made of kork wool –considered to be one of the finest. Kork wool is taken from
the flanks and shoulders of lambs reared in the winter and clipped in the spring.
Our tribal and contemporary range of carpets are made from the flocks owned by the
nomadic tribes, whose way of life ensures optimal nourishment for the sheep all
year round.
